Human Target

Okay - school is finally over for the spring. A huge weight has been lifted off of all our shoulders. It has been a little more relaxing - minus, of course, the wave of illness that has gone through the family.


Speaking of illness - I have decided that I am a human target for child vomit. I have been puked on three times in the last seven days. The most recent was today - after being with Mommy all day long, Reaghan decided to upchuck all over me after holding her for less than five minutes (by the way - Ashley thinks this is hilarious - I am not as amused).


Also...I am so excited to share that I passed both of my certification exams that I took back in April - another major relief.

Thank you (for the) R & R

Last night, Ashley and I received the wonderful gift of a night without two kids. We laughed all night about the "romantic" plans we had - which from the very beginning entailed getting to bed as early as possible and SLEEPING as long as possible. It was awesome!!! Ashley had trouble staying completely asleep all night, waking up several times throughout the night - just to realize that she didn't need to get up. I, like usual, slept straight through to the alarm.


Before we dropped the kiddos off at grandma and grandpa's house, we went and got Josiah some Wendy's and went to a neighborhood park. By the way, we have learned that the chocolate milk from the kids meal has to wait until the end. If there were a contest for drinking chocolate milk, our son would win hands down. On the other hand, our goal of raising healthy children somewhat interferes with their future career as professional beverage guzzlers.

Here is a video of Josiah going down a pretty cool slide. It was narrow enough for him to hold on to safely and have a blast. It was probably the tallest slide he has been down. I guess you could say he is in early training for Goliath at Magic Mountain. More later...goodnight :)

It's a...zzzzzzzzzzzz...Nap!

Ok, sorry we haven't posted in while. Those of you out there that have had children can probably guess why. WE ARE SO TIRED!!!! Little Reaghan is doing great. She is healthy and started gaining weight a lot sooner than Josiah did (which is hard to imagine if you've seen him lately). She eats more at night than she does during the day - which is a major contributor to our tiredness. I admit, Ashley is more tired than I am - but we have finally found a nighttime schedule that should change that. 


Josiah does really good with Reaghan. He is always willing to help, though we aren't quite sure how to tell him that whatever it is he is doing, is far from "helping." Also, Reaghan has to be the most welcomed little sister in the world. Josiah likes to crawl up to her and say, "Hi" over and over again, hoping for a response. He doesn't quite understand what we mean when we tell him, "she can't talk yet." So, that is us at the moment. Hopefully will be writing more soon.
