I know, I know, we have a hard time making up our minds, but we have decided to move back to Blogger. We like Vox but no one could leave comments unless they had their own account and that was no fun.
Well, if you haven't been following along on his blog, I will say just briefly that Ashley's dad is doing really well following his surgery. His blog is linked on the right. It has been so amazing to watch as God's church has moved and how prayer works in every huge or tiny situation. Please check it out!
Our personal good news happened yesterday. After FIVE attempts, we finally had an offer accepted on a house - and it is the best so far. We are so excited!!! Check out the pictures below:
Okay - school is finally over for the spring. A huge weight has been lifted off of all our shoulders. It has been a little more relaxing - minus, of course, the wave of illness that has gone through the family.
Last night, Ashley and I received the wonderful gift of a night without two kids. We laughed all night about the "romantic" plans we had - which from the very beginning entailed getting to bed as early as possible and SLEEPING as long as possible. It was awesome!!! Ashley had trouble staying completely asleep all night, waking up several times throughout the night - just to realize that she didn't need to get up. I, like usual, slept straight through to the alarm.
So, Reaghan was born one month ago today. Sometimes it feels like longer (considering we have, on average, been awake more hours each day than normal), sometimes I can't believe it has gone by so fast. Everybody is still doing well. Reaghan is still gaining weight and eating a lot. Ashley is also feeling good, though she is looking more forward to going back to work than she originally thought she would. Hopefully, she'll be able to get some more sleep then. I know I am usually a little more verbose - but I am heading to bed soon. More to come.
Ok, sorry we haven't posted in while. Those of you out there that have had children can probably guess why. WE ARE SO TIRED!!!! Little Reaghan is doing great. She is healthy and started gaining weight a lot sooner than Josiah did (which is hard to imagine if you've seen him lately). She eats more at night than she does during the day - which is a major contributor to our tiredness. I admit, Ashley is more tired than I am - but we have finally found a nighttime schedule that should change that.
That's right she's finally here. Here are the details:
It's almost 3:30 p.m. and it looks like we're in the final stretch. Ashley is dilated to 9 cm and they're all prepping. The hope is that she comes within the hour. They have just 'upgraded' Ashley's epidural and she is feeling better, but its getting close. Hopefully you'll see some pictures soon. More to come. ~Luke
Well, its 10 a.m. and we're still waiting. They broke Ashley's water about a half hour ago. They have said that we can expect a baby around noon, but we don't know if they're just messing with us or not. So, the hope is she'll be here soon. I will get pictures up as soon as I can. Please keep Ashley and the little girl in your prayers. ~Luke
Well, it looks like we're in this for the long haul. It's 10:45 and at this point it doesn't look like a baby is coming until after the sun comes up. Ashley is going to try and get some sleep. I will most likely be out as soon as I lay down. If you're up late watching our blog.....first of all, I'm sorry about the no life thing you've got going on.....and secondly, I would suggest going to bed, because you won't be able to come visit until tomorrow anyway. More to come. ~ Luke
